The interior of the cottages is artfully balanced between traditional and light modern touches. Rietdak ceilings, open hearths, limewashed cupboards with chicken wire doors, Art Deco couches, quality curtains on cast-iron rods, spacious bedrooms with good linen and flamboyant elements here and there - like the light green
"King Louis XI" headboard - all combine to create a true mountain retreat.

Fynbos Cottage - sleeps 4 - 12

The Fynbos Cottage consists of an open plan kitchen/dining and sitting
room with a television (channels 1 - 3) and a hearth in the kitchen. It
has two bedrooms (both with double beds), and two bathrooms (one with a
shower and one with a bath). Upstairs is a huge "Farmshed Loft" with 8
single beds, air-conditioning and some great views. Outside are two lovely
porches (one covered with shady vine leaves), a lazy outside ''braai''
(barbeque) area and a nice big lawn. The plunge pool and mini lapa is 30m
away. Lying at the foot of the mountain, this is also the perfect spot
from which to enjoy the pink colours of the surrounding mountains at

Klipspringer Cottage - sleeps 6

The Klipspringer Cottage consists of an open plan kitchen, dining and
sitting room, with a hearth and a television. It has three bedrooms (two
with double beds and one with two single beds) as well as a bathroom with a
bath/shower. For something special there is a second bathroom outside,
boasting a luxury Outdoor Tree Shower (with hot water). This is a must for
a magical view while washing away the day's activities. Outside under the
towering pines is a nice piece of lawn, a lovely "braai" (barbeque) area,
and a little stream running past in winter. In summer the shady
vine-covered porch is a must.
This cottage provides a lot of playground opportunities for kids, with a
swing in the trees, protruding boulders in front of the cottage and a
plunge pool 30m away. In winter, water comes cascading down the rocky
mountain, which is quite a magnificent sight.

Mountain Spring Eco Cottage - sleeps 4

Mountain Spring consists of an open plan kitchen/dining and sitting area,
with a built-in couch long enough to sleep two kids. For rainy days in
winter, there is a fireplace and a television. It has two bedrooms, one
with a double bed and one with two single beds - all in crispy white linen.
The interior is warm, cosy and cottage like, with old farmstyle chairs,
old recovered farm doors, tables and wall pieces. Screed floors and walls
are painted in natural and faded colours that add to the rustic charm. The
shower in the bathroom was raised to double up as a small bath which is
ideal for kids. For those more inclined to taking a leisurely bath, we
definitely recommend the famous outside Mountain Bath - 20m from the
cottage. It boasts solar powered hot water and doubles as a mini splash
pool in summer. The large shaded stoep is positioned to give guests the
best view of the mountains anywhere on the farm.
